Annual Report 2023/24

2023 was a year of notable successes and important events for the Fraunhofer IGB. For example, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the institute and the 10th anniversary of our branches in Leuna and Straubing.

Milestones in research included the funding of the Center for Sustainable Fuels (ZENK) in Straubing and the establishment of the our new “Virus-based Therapies” branch in Biberach. The handover of the Fraunhofer roadmap “Circular Bioeconomy for Germany“ to representatives of the EU Commission and the inauguration of the “Circular“ art installation in Stuttgart were further highlights of IGB's wide range of activities.

We would like to thank our customers and partners for their excellent cooperation and their trust in us to drive innovation and, building on this, the transformation of the economy. We wish you an informative read and look forward to further cooperation and new, exciting projects.
